I am a painter, specializing in landscapes, seascapes, and pet portraits in both acrylic paint and chalk pastel. With a life-long love for art, I pursued and received a bachelor’s in art from the California State University, Sacramento, and a professional associates of art degree in design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco.
After acquiring my degrees, I’ve worked in creative fields including fashion design and graphic design, as well as marketing, while still working on my art. In 2019, I showed a collection of chalk pastel pet portraits at the RAW Artists show in Sacramento and continue to take commissioned portrait requests to paint beloved pets. I've also had pieces accepted in the PBS KVIE art action in 2021 and 2022. I love painting and exploring the boundaries of acrylic paint and representing different scenes from my adventures. For my latest series, Second Nature, I explore the splendor of the central coast using acrylic paint and applying a mixture of loose and detailed brushwork. The pieces in this series capture the local flora and undulating rock formations set amidst the ever-changing sea. Each moment invites the viewer to go on a journey through some of my most recent experiences. |
